Baiyu debuted ‘Invisible’, her latest video featuring Rotimi. Produced by Kaleb “KQuick” Rollins of Grand Staff L.L.C., ‘Invisible’ fuses both a budding romance with passion. Baiyu and Rotimi both have stellar voices that captivate and give power to a song. The uniting of these two particular singers is a great pairing due to Baiyu’s soulful and powerful voice and Rotimi’s equally passionate sound. If you haven’t out the video, you can now, it’s an amazing late night jam to include in your mix.
When I listen to a song, especially one with great heavy beats, I always find myself imagining a music video. However, when I first heard Baiyu’s “Take A Number” track, I actually just imagined my girlfriends and I getting ready to go out for a carefree night on the town. This is why I love the music Baiyu puts out. Whether a song showcases her strong abilities as a vocalist, her amazing craft as a song-writer, or her ability to jump on a track with an amazing beat and elevate it to a level where the listener finds themselves just (dare I say) “feelin’ it.”
“Take A Number” is one of those songs that can refer to a number of people including haters, those creepy people who just randomly feel the need to latch onto you and stalk you in the club, and for Baiyu “non-believers.” The music video was directed by Eif Rivera who captured the energetic and beautiful Baiyu in Queens, New York with music produced by KQuick. It’s a deep contrast to Baiyu’s earlier release of “Tommorow’s Another Day” filmed in Hawaii and another example of the depth and layers Baiyu shares as an artist.
If you haven’t picked up your EP of Fan Fair with songs like “Take A Number” and one of my favorites, “Together”, you can do so here. Remember all proceeds are going to the Japanese Red Cross for their tsunami relief efforts.
Betty White, is some sort of national treasure in addition to her acting and now cult-status fan-base, White can now add rapper to her list of professions. White show up in a remix with Luciana’s song ‘I’m Still Hot’ brought to you by The Lifeline Program. White exclaims in her lyrics that even though she is a ‘senior’ and ‘still a Golden Girl’, she is ‘Betty from the Block’ and ‘still hot’. To add, to her appeal, she shares that she can ‘rock your world with my cheesecake.’ Established in 1989, The Lifeline Program is one of the most respected life settlement companies in the market today with Betty White as one of their spokespersons.
Life settlement company, The Lifeline Program released a short clip and some behind-the-scenes shots from a currently unreleased music video starring Betty White and techno sensation Luciana for their now viral single for the remix of ‘I’m Still Hot’. Check out clips below from hair and makeup to rehearsal, and of course, Betty’s beloved cheesecake.
With Jennifer Lopez’ line for Kohls set to debut in September, the duo teamed up to release a couple of hilarious promos featuring a day in the life of Jenny from the Block working a 9 to 5. Turns out even Lopez can’t get past security without her I.D. which may please her co-workers ears because the ‘I’m Real’ beauty happens to also be ‘that girl’ who clicks her pen into oblivion.
I would never think of how funny it is to see a man ‘OMG’ of all people, Jennifer Lopez.
While I’m excited for her line, one-piece I can’t wait to get my hands on is a beautifully structured tweed tunic ($80). Lopez recently gave makeovers to Oprah’s O readers and paired this beautiful tunic with black cotton cropped pants making it look perfectly fresh for Friday’s office casual look. However, I can’t wait to pair it with knee-high boots for a lunch-date with girlfriends on a Saturday. The glamorous & versatile-meets affordable line debuts September 7th with a great follow-up in October.
Rumors have surfaced that Cee-Lo might be doing a musical collaboration with Gwyneth Paltrow from her rendition of his hit song ‘F*** You’. However, actress Eva Mendes has already shot a music video with the Cee-Lo in with the 70s inspired song ‘Pimps Don’t Cry’. Check it out below.
If you are a Glee fan, cast-members from the hit show teamed up with Sofia Vergara of Modern Family to give you a take on Snoop Dogg’s ‘Ain’t Nuthin’ But A G-Thng,’ starring Corey Monteith, Heather Morris, Matthew Morrison, Naya Rivera and more. Both videos courtesy of Funny or Die.
Willow Smith, of the Pinkett-Smith kin, has branched out to create a name for herself at the young age of 9. If her single ‘Whip My Hair’ hits #1 on the Bilboard charts, she’ll beat out the likes of Michael Jackson to become the youngest artist to break out onto the top stop in Bilboard Music History. See Willow ‘whip’ her hair in her video for her first single below.
Willow Smith has said “Whip My Hair means don’t be afraid to be yourself and don’t let anybody tell you that that’s wrong. Because the best thing is you.” While some have noted that Willow takes some fashion and style cues from Bajan beauty Rihanna, I will say that I adore Willow’s style because it is very age appropriate. While her style choice may seem slightly extreme at times, when you consider the fact that she is a child with a vivid imagination, the fashions behind Willow seem less ‘faux paus’ and more ‘imaginative’ and ‘expressive’. Essentially, she dresses like a kid not like she is trying to be an adult but rather how she sees herself and I admire that.
Willow Smith along with her brother Jaden are emerging within the music and acting world with roles in the I Am Legend and Karate Kid as well as singles between the two. With Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith behind them to help them grow as artists, I am sure the Pinkett-Smith family has definitely created a name within Hollywood that is reminiscent of the Barrymores and Coppolas.
This song is rather infectious, even Sesame Street has gotten into whipping their hair.
