The last couple of weeks have been crazy hectic especially without my laptop. But it’s finally fixed and back in my hands. However, I am happy that I have been making great strides and lost a few more lbs and amped up on my toning exercises. Since my diet began, I’ve lost 16 lbs. Now to catch up on email and everything else I missed while being without my computer.

Country-Crooner, Carrie Underwood, is featured on the latest cover of SELF magazine. The beautiful Oklahoma-native opens up about her vegan lifestyle as well as her fitness routine and how she gets red-carpet ready.
Carrie On on being Vegan:
I love eating and talking about food. I’ve been a vegetarian for seven years. But after seeing a friend who looked amazing and had recently gone vegan, I thought, What’s holding me back?”
“Now I’m 95 percent vegan. Sometimes you’re at a birthday party and there’s cake and…you know, you can’t resist. My veganism is based on a concern about where my food is coming from. In my perfect world, I’d have webcams wherever food is processed so I’d know how clean it is.”
“I’ll never eat meat again, because I look and feel better without it, but if I could raise my own cows and chickens and produce my own eggs and cheese, it would be awesome! The food would taste better, because the animals would be happy.
Carrie on Fitness:
I’ve been pretty consistent with exercise for the past several years. Growing up, I was semisporty but didn’t really do much. If I’d kept on that path, it wouldn’t have ended well! I’m from the South, where there’s a lot of fried food, and that’s bound to show.
Carrie’s Pre-Red Carpet Beauty Tip:
Get plenty of water and sleep. That’s it! I’ve heard horror stories about people who’ve done peels or fake tans before events. What if my face melted off? I’ll stick to hydration and a little extra night cream.

Supermodels Miranda Kerr and Candice Swanepoel recently celebrated the 2012 Victoria’s Secret Swim collection poolside at the Thompson Beverly Hills hotel. The Australian and South African Supermodels wore bright neon Beach Sexy swimwear and sexy crochet cover-ups.
For the latest campaign, supermodels Candice Swanepoel, Adriana Lima, Jasmine Tookes and Elyse Taylor sport the sexiest swim styles inspired by Brazil—the land of beautiful people and itty-bitty bikinis. Candice graces the cover wearing a Very Sexy jungle print bikini shot by famed fashion photographer Russell James.
In keeping with the Brazilian bikini inspiration, Victoria’s Secret launched a viral campaign on their Facebook platform called “Big World. Teeny Bikini”. Fans can follow the adventures of the #VSTeenyBikini and share their own VS bikini photos through Twitter, Instagram or Pinterest—the campaign will run through late summer. I’ve always been a fan of moisturizing my skin, but I’ve never been a fan of products that leave my skin greasy. Especially living in Hawai’i where some parts get really humid, I like my skin to feel like skin, not like a buttered piece of hard bread. And while some ‘heavy’ products do absorb and are effective in eliminating the dryness, sometimes I just don’t have the time to wait for it to absorb. After a shower, it literally makes a shield on my body when I put it on, trapping the moisture in my body, leaving my skin soft, and doesn’t leave me feeling greasy. While it does cost $18, I say it’s money well spent because it saves me from the $50 dollars I would have spent buying a handful of over lotions over the next month trying to find my ‘miracle in a bottle’. The 2012 MISS USA® Competition will air LIVE on NBC Sunday, June 3 (9 p.m. ET) from Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas at the Theatre for the Performing Arts. (Contestants from Hawai’i, Louisiana, Georgia and Virginia pictured below).
Returning from last year will be hosts Andy Cohen, host of Bravo’s “Watch What Happens: Live” and Giuliana Rancic, co-anchor of “E! News,” will host the competition. Paula Shugart, President of the Miss Universe Organization said “Not only will we have the hottest show on the strip the night of June 3, but we are excited to welcome back Andy Cohen and Giuliana Rancic as hosts. Andy and Giuliana’s charisma and energy are a great fit for us, and it was obvious they had a lot of fun together at Miss USA last year. We are happy to have them back.”
While there is no word yet on performers or judges of the 2012 Miss USA Pageant. The swimsuit sponsor for this year’s event will be Australian brand Kooey. The luxury swimwear brand has long been a sponsor of the Miss Universe Australia pageant and most recently been a sponsor for the Miss Teen USA 2011 pageant. At the helm of Kooey are design team, Nikki Silverthorne and Charlene Harmer. 
Alyssa Campanella of California, will be handing over the reigns of Miss USA to one of the 51 beautiful contestants vying to be Miss USA 2012. The winner, like Campanella will be granted tremendous opportunities, aid in support of great causes, given wonderful prizes, and the chance to represent USA in the Miss Universe pageant.
The Miss USA Pageant has long been a ratings knockout. Last year, the 2011 MISS USA® Competition on NBC was the #1 show of the night for all key demographics. Good luck to all the contestants vying for the crown!
