
Rihanna who has her album Loud coming out with tracks such as Cheer (Drink to That) has endured a lot of both great and humbling experience since her rise from ‘Pon De Replay’ and greater heights of ‘Umbrella’ & ‘Rude Boy’. But those experiences have come out as a blessing in constructing the woman she is today. Rihanna admits ”I couldn’t have been the woman I am, the friend, or the sister or the artist, or the role model I am today if I didn’t go through what I went through. I needed that wake-up call in my life. That was the only way I would have gotten out of that relationship. I remember waking up one day and I knew I was over it. I felt like I wanted to get up and be in the world.”
The pop icon who has adopted a new punk-princess style for the release of her new album which will fall on November 16th. This is a sharp contrast from the tough and edgy persona she has been sporting since the darker album Rated R. Since the release of her first single off the Loud album ‘Only Girl (In The World) Rihanna will provide tracks with more uptempo beats and dance club sounds.
